Overview & Reviews
Other than having some new wheel designs, the IS 300 is unchanged this year.
- Outstanding driving dynamics, slick interior decor, competitive pricing.
- Small rear seat and trunk, not much storage space, styling more suited to baggy-panted masses.

is300 - 2003 Lexus IS 300
By dcamp - December 27 - 2:00 amBMW 330 is too much $$ for what you get. Infiniti spent all their $$ on an engine, but it doesnt deliver anywhere else. This car in flat out fun to drive and delivers on style, performance and luxury.

Lexus did it again! - 2003 Lexus IS 300
By CMac - June 19 - 7:00 pmI just bought this car about 6 months ago, and I havent regretted it for a second. Its reliable, but still plenty of fun to drive. It handles curves extremely well at 60 mph+. Surprisingly, it handled very well in rain and snow, even though it only had highway tires on it. Traction could be better, but snow tires should remedy any slippage problems. No small feat considering were talking about Salt Lake City winters. It accelerates well considering it only has 215 bhp. I have gotten plenty of looks and compliments on the car. Road noise is minimal, its actually possible to carry on a conversation without yelling to be heard. The E-shift system is nice, but somewhat hard to use in a turn.

Im VERY happy. - 2003 Lexus IS 300
By DPhillips - June 12 - 5:26 amI knew when I bought my car I was going to love it. I have always liked Lexus vehicles and I have not been disappointed. This car is obviously marketed towards the 21-25 age demographic (a demographic that I am no longer in). Im sure eventually Ill upgrade to a bigger car, but Im confident that it will be a Lexus as well.

add those turbos - 2003 Lexus IS 300
By Aaron J. Lexus - January 14 - 2:00 amThe 5-speed is definitely the way to go. Add aftermarket air induction, a turbo, and a back-cat exhaust. This alone will up the performance value to a 10. I want to directly port a 50- shot or 100-shot bottle of NOS on mine for some real big horse power gains. Some aftermarket turbos, although reaching about $6,000, offer a boost of up to 500 horse power! Improved handling and a slammed stance can be found in an AEM suspension system. I would think that this car would have a little more room in the cabin since it is a sedan. And Ive always liked 2 door coupes so much more. Its still really phat for being a Lexus.
